Americans Abroad Weekend Rewind: Adams, Pulisic, and more

Bournemouth couldn’t hang on for three points in its trip to Tottenham on Sunday but Tyler Adams walked away from the match with another important 90 minutes under his belt.

Adams went the distance yet again in Sunday’s 2-2 draw between the Cherries and Spurs. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder rarely put a foot wrong, leading all players in duels won (8) and tackles completed (4). Adams also made two interceptions and eight recoveries, delivering another strong shift in the middle of the park.

Despite Andoni Iraola’s men coughing up two points in North London, the Spanish manager will be pleased with Adams’ latest showing, as well USMNT boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Bournemouth welcomes Brentford to the South Coast next on March 15 before hosting Manchester City in FA Cup play 15 days later.

In England, Josh Sargent scored once again for Norwich City. Chris Richards helped Crystal Palace to its latest league win.

In Italy, Christian Pulisic scored twice to cap off AC Milan’s comeback victory. Gianluca Busio did not feature for Venezia. Weston McKennie, Tim Weah and Juventus suffered a humiliating home loss to Atalanta.

In Germany, Noahkai Banks featured in Augsburg’s victory over Borussia Dortmund.

In Spain, Johnny Cardoso and Real Betis earned three points at home against Las Palmas.

In France, Tanner Tessmann and Lyon claimed a road win over Nice. Mark McKenzie and Toulouse earned one point in a home draw with Monaco.

Elsewhere, Dante Polvara made his return for Aberdeen, as did Sergino Dest for PSV. Crystal Dunn and Korbin Albert both had a key say in PSG’s cup win. Caleb Wiley made his Watford debut. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty both started in Celtic’s cup win over Hibernian.
