A few tasty preseason friendlies highlight this weekend’s soccer action, with a Champions League final rematch in the German Super Cup taking center stage.
Carlo Ancelotti’s first test as the Real Madrid manager happens to come against Laurent Blanc and Paris Saint-Germain, the club Ancelotti left for Madrid. Unfortunately for fans, the newly-acquired Edinson Cavani will likely miss the friendly, with the Uruguayan still recovering from his involvement in the Confederations Cup.
Just thirty minutes later, the German Super Cup final will kickoff, when Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich meet in a rematch of the Champions League final.
Since the cup’s inception in 2010, Bayern have won two out of three German Super Cups, and will be looking to capture their fourth, and, subsequently, first trophy for new-boss Pep Guardiola. Rest be assured, however, Dortmund will be looking to find their revenge for the 2-1 loss they suffered at Wembley in the Champions League final.

Which NWSL teams are playing on Fox Soccer this weekend?
Portland v Chicago
In defense of Ives, the thinking was probably that there are tons of current posts on the Gold Cup so why not put a focus on a few other games for the TV listings.
If you are reading this website, I think it is implied that you already know about the Gold Cup and can see the links to all the other stories about it if you haven’t read them already.
Kline, get with the program.
How is the Gold Cup Final not featured at the top?! Is this a German site?
Down with Michael Kline and the German propaganda that is driving this site into the ground!!!
But in all seriousness, I do agree with you, the final should be the featured match.
For those who missed it, here is Bob Bradley’s interview from The Daily Show.

Thanks. I liked the interview.
Ives, thinks German cup is more important. i guess
What about Sunday’s NWSL action on Fox Soccer?
Ok, I’ll say it. While it is shown in the list, the text doesn’t even mention the Gold Cup final. Odd, yes?
Not only does the German match get top billing over the Gold Cup final, a meaningless friendly between Real Madrid and PSG tops it as well. Michael Kline = epic fail
Who cares about friendlies? I’d guess euro snobs who aren’t reading sbi. Talk about mls and the gold cup final!
