Trailing 1-0 in the 90th minute to the arch-rival Seattle Sounders, the Portland Timbers needed a goal to grab a point, and head back to Jeld-Wen Field with a result.
Thanks to a terrific header from Rodney Wallace, they were able to do just that. The Costa Rican’s goal was just the seventh of his career in MLS, and it earned him SBI’s MLS Goal of the Week.

Dope header. Gspurning can do nothing but watch in awe….
Nicely placed header but under no pressure, like pretty much all the candidates this week. I would’ve chosen Driver’s goal for Houston.
In a field of so-so candidates, Wallace’s was the most important so it wins. And that header was tougher than you’re giving it credit for being.
It was a nice header, but I agree with Shane. Driver’s was the most aesthetically pleasing anyway.
No pressure cause he got away from his man. And it was a PERFECTLY PLACED header. No keeper in the world stops it.
