European soccer is back in full swing this weekend with the respective starts to La Liga and Seria A seasons. Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona are both slated to be in action on TV on Sunday and looking to get off to a good start in their domestic competitions.

Barcelona faces off against Athletic Bilbao, the same team that just dismantled the reigning La Liga champions in the Spanish Cup Winner’s Cup.

For the English Premier League, it will be the third weekend of action as clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and yes, even Leicester City, all competing to remain perfect in the early goings of the season.

In Germany, American Alfredo Morales will lead FC Ingolstadt into a very tough test against Borussia Dortmund, while Aron Johannsson’s Werder Bremen meets John Brooks’ Hertha Berlin.

Back here in the States, MLS clubs continue their respective pushes for the playoffs, with Montreal debuting its newest weapon Didier Drogba on Saturday and a marquee matchup between LA Galaxy and New York City FC taking place on Sunday in Carson, Calif.
