The sixth weekend in college soccer saw many unbeaten teams remain that way, a few intriguing upsets and more.

SBI No. 2 North Carolina hosted No. 15 Syracuse in an all-ACC battle, and the weekend’s showcase matchup didn’t disappoint. The Tar Heels went down, 1-0, to the Orange at home, thanks to an early goal from Miles Robinson — his third of the year.

The home side would battle back late, though, at Fetzer Field, with junior forward Tucker Hume scoring his sixth of the season in the 74th minute and senior midfielder Alex Olofson tallying his second of the campaign nine minutes later.

With the win, North Carolina captures its 10th win of the season and join No. 11 Denver and No. 1 Creighton as the country only remaining undefeated sides.

Meanwhile, after a scoreless draw at home with Washington, No. 3 Stanford cruised to an important 3-0 win against Oregon State Sunday.

Amir Bashti, Brandon Vincent and Foster Langsdorf scored the crucial goals in the Cardinal’s victory against the Beavers. For sophomore forward Langsdorf, the second-half goal was his fourth of the season.

Across the nation, two SBI Top 10 teams were beaten, as No. 6 Virginia fell in a 2-1 decision to Boston College Friday, and No. 8 Coastal Carolina suffered its first loss of the season in a 3-2 contest vs. UNC Asheville Sunday.
