While the excitement surrounding new stadium plans remain high, Orlando City SC will have to wait a little longer to debut its new soccer-specific ground:

On Wednesday, the club announced that the side’s construction of its new stadium is taking longer than expected and the Lions will remain at the Citrus Bowl in 2016. (REPORT)

D.C United’s Bill Hamid has successfully undergone surgery to repair his injured meniscus following an exit from U.S. Men’s National Team camp on Tuesday. A timetable for the goalkeeper’s return is to be determined. (REPORT)

The Portland Timbers have officially acquired forward Jack McInerney from Columbus Crew SC in exchange for target allocation money and general allocation money. (REPORT)

D.C. United has reportedly acquired a 2016 fourth-round draft pick from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for the discovery rights to Jamaican defender Kemar Lawrence. The Red Bull went on to play in 23 matches last season for Jesse Marsch’s side. (REPORT)

Sporting Kansas City has signed Homegrown forward Daniel Salloi. The 19-year old Hungarian joined Sporting’s Academy in 2014 after moving to the United States that same year. (REPORT)

Argentine defender Andres Imperiale has signed with the San Jose Earthquakes, after most recently plying his trade with Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa. (REPORT)

Ex-Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon is in good condition after an attempted suicide Tuesday night. Mondragon played for the Union in 2011, before becoming the oldest player to appear in a World Cup in 2014 with Colombia. (REPORT)

Brazilian defender Anderson Conceição has signed with the Union on loan for the duration of the 2016 season. (REPORT)

Toronto FC announced on Wednesday that it placed central defender Ahmed Kantari on waivers. Kantari made 12 appearances for Toronto after arriving from RC Lens last summer. (REPORT)

  1. Sad to hear Mondragon reach such lows. He is the only player ever to play in 6 WCQ campaigns (’94 to ’14 – from the article).
