Terrence Boyd undergoes minor surgery

Terrence Boyd RB Leipzig 1

Terrence Boyd has had his share of surgeries in recent years, and the RB Leipzig forward recently underwent another minor operation.

RB Leipzig announced on Thursday Boyd had undergone surgery to remove a cyst in his knee. The procedure will keep the forward sidelined for 10 days before returning to his recent rehabilitation stint.

The U.S. Men’s National Team forward has been out of action since December 2014 due to a torn meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament. Boyd started the rehab process in the fall following several setbacks. Prior to the injury, Boyd had suffered a partial tear while with Austria’s Rapid Wien.

Boyd’s injury came just several months following his signing with the 2. Bundesliga club. The 25-year-old forward had secured a starting role with the team before scoring two goals across seven appearances.

What do you think of the latest Boyd injury? Any new concerns? When do you expect him back on the field?

  1. Really hoped he could have returned this year and done something as it appear RB is going up next season. Most likely they well bring some guys for step up, and I’m not sure where Boyd will fall in with that. Either way hope he gets healthy.

So he is doing rehab in order to return to his rehab. Next specialist this guy sees should be a taxidermist.
