Soccer Friday: Your Running Commentary

While an important English Championship match takes place at Riverside Stadium, Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach will meet in a top-of-the-table clash at Veltins-Arena.

After struggling to find good form to start the new year, Monchengladbach has earned 10 points in its past five games to stay near the top of the German Bundesliga table. A win on the road against fifth place Schalke would see it jump into the third spot for the time being.

Middlesbrough hosts Hull City in England, as the two attempt to grab one of two automatic promotion spots to the English Premier League.

In the evening, MLS and Liga MX action kicks off. Tijuana-Toluca headlines action south of the U.S. border, while New York City FC and Orlando City SC face off in the Big Apple.

Comments

  1. Yankee stadium is a ******* postage stamp. This is an embarrassment to the league. Professionals shouldn’t have to play on a field the size of a handball court.

  2. If you are not watching Schalke 04/Gladbach on Fox Sports2, you are missing now on a quality Bundesliga encounter.

Gladbach dominating large portions of the game and creating some great chances, but it looks as though they will go home empty handed, down 2:1 with under 4 minutes left…
