While Sebastian Giovinco’s exclusion from Italy’s Euro 2016 roster recently made waves, another MLS player proved his worth for a major European side on Sunday.

Montreal Impact defender Laurent Ciman was subbed on in the second half of Belgium’s 3-2 friendly win against Norway on Sunday, and the 30-year-old scored the game winner after just 24 minutes on the field.

Ciman replaced young Manchester City defender Jason Denayer with less than half an hour remaining, before the Impact center back notched his first goal for the Red Devils.

The Impact defender headed home a Dries Mertens corner kick, after fellow defender Toby Alderweireld helped the original cross on into the path of Ciman. The goal came in the 73rd minute, just seven minutes after stepping on the field.
