MLS Week 3: Your Running Commentary

Photo by Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

While international soccer dominates the weekend’s schedule, MLS returns on Saturday with a trio of interesting matches.

The day starts at Gillette Stadium as the New England Revolution host Minnesota United. The Loons return to action after sealing their first ever point last time out. The Revs, meanwhile, are in search of their first point after dropping their first two matches.

Action then moves to Red Bull Arena as Real Salt Lake looks to kickoff the post-Jeff Cassar era with a win over the New York Red Bulls. RSL fired their head coach midweek, initiating a change after a poor start to the season.

Finally, the high-scoring Portland Timbers headline the evening schedule for a 2015 MLS Cup rematch with the Columbus Crew.
