It’s been just under three years since Timmy Chandler has found the back of the net for Eintracht Frankfurt.
On Saturday, the U.S. International ended his goalless streak scoring the second goal in a 3-1 victory for Frankfurt against VfL Wolfsburg.
The 27-year-old showed composure and good skill, beating Koen Casteels to the top-left corner in the 22nd-minute.
It gave Frankfurt a 2-0 lead which they would take into halftime. The visitors would hang on for all three points at the Volkswagen Arena, moving them into seventh place in the Bundesliga.
Saturday marked the first league goal for Chandler since May 2015, and was his 13th appearance of the season for the club.
Mary Stock: “MNT’s Bundesliga Boys” YouTube. My above answer was to Bizzie’s FIRST POST, above:, not the 2nd. Namely this: “or maybe the people around him where crap…..maybe, just maybe, when he is surrounded by “good club players” he performs, but when he is surrounded by international players that cant even beat T&T he is “crap”……maybe.” If you now will read my answer to him, you’ll see it begins to make some sense.
If Chandler really wanted to be with USMNT he never would have been left off.
Timmy Chandler is much better than Marco Fabian, always plays the 90 minutes and in this
year always is shining,he is doing better than 2017….Come and Timmy, the envi very envi of,
Marco Fabian.do not pay you, and whit this goal, almost desire chandler DIED,but we the
america soccer fans and some mexicans are whit you
congratulation chandler, whit this greal goal, usa style
He has always been good at the club level and crap at the international level!
or maybe the people around him where crap…..maybe, just maybe, when he is surrounded by “good club players” he performs, but when he is surrounded by international players that cant even beat T&T he is “crap”……maybe
It’s no secret that Chandler and Fabian for that matter, couldn’t hold up in Contact play outside of States! We have seen multiple games where the both of them looked terrible in away games and attributed it to the heat, travel and a bad pitch smh….that my friend has nothing to do with the players around them but what it does show is that they couldn’t help their teammates when they needed them! I always believed Chandler had talent and should be apart of the NT for most call ins but let’s not act like he is a bona-fide starter for the USMNT
“a player is only as good as the support and service around him”. No one player can impact a team if you have poor support around them. Soccer/football is a team spot. Chandler and F.Johnson are starters in the Bundesliga and compete with “up and coming” players in the German football system (and other players around the world!!!) for a starting spot on their respective clubs. If they do well for club but poor for country then players on the national team around them are terrible and lack what it takes to play ON THEIR LEVEL (and it shows as they couldn’t beat the worst team in our group in CONCACAF).
Example: if a player plays well with Premiership players but sucks when playing with college players…..then the college team sucks not the player
Mary Stock -“MNT’s Bundesliga Boys” YouTube. Bizzy: Then how do you explain Pulisic making goal after goal with the same guys. I agree.that In Pulisic’s case they got lazy and let CP do the work and make the goals. So I think you still have a point, since Timmy needs a team to play with. Christian could do it either way.
keep it up

Good enough for the Bundesliga, not American enough for the former xenophobic coach who shall remain nameless.
Call him up!
