Good morning all. Today is the big day, USA-Mexico, and I must say that their is an excitement surrounding this game like I haven’t felt before. No, not that there is more excitement, just a different kind of excitement that I believe has to do with all the new blood that will play tonight.
The game is expected to be a sellout near the 70,000 mark which I believe will include more American fans than people think. I remember the game here five years ago, when the split was probably closer to 65-35 or 70-30 for Mexican fans. I don’t think you’ll see the overwhelming majority be Mexican fans like you saw at the Gold Cup final in Chicago.
I know plenty of American fans are travelin in from around the country for this, but I also know that most of you will be watching at your local soccer bars (if not at home). My question to you is this: Where will you be watching the game tonight?
Tell is where you and other U.S. fans will be gathering tonight to watch the game so other SBI readers can see where they can go to watch the match.
From my hotel room in Turks and Caicos!
I’ll be watching p2p streaming video at my computer in grainy low def, at 0500 in the morning in the desert of saudi arabia – drinking my early morning latte.
I’m joining a bunch of Midnight Riders at Tyng’s Tavern and Grill…they’ve been good enough to let this lone DC United supporter join them in mutual support of our guys.
Twin Cites area?
We’ll be having a watch party at The Sweetwater Bar and Grille in St. Paul. Free stuff from American Outlaws and Nike as well as the MN Thunder. 2 for 1’s and such, but the best part is there’s a bunch of like minded U.S. Soccer fans to enjoy the evening with and we get to sing one more time, two-one, two-one, two-one, two-one.
I am, of necessity, going to be in the vicinity of BWI airport, and I’ll be watching the game at Columbia Ale House (I called ahead and they said they’d put it on for me).
At home, on DVR, after 3 year old is asleep. My girlfriend is also a footy fan, so our only chance for uninterrupted US-Mexi bliss is to wait till after bedtime. But I do love the HD!
At home, in Ann Arbor, MI. I am trying to get a group of soccer fans together in Ann Arbor by the time qualifying starts, so look for our group on facebook if you’re out there.
I will be watching hopefully somewhere in Ontario. Why did I move to Canada?!I think there is a bar in Burlington with espn2

I will be at Adams’ house. Naked.
Yeah, I’m going to a friend’s house to watch Duke-UNC, but I’m recording the game, and I plan to watch it at home later.
At the game kicking it behind goal with Sam’s Army.
Probably from my brothers house. Glen Ridge, New Joysee. I think/hope he has HD. I have yet to enjoy a soccer game in HD, so i’m looking forward to it.
For the record, I’m latino and I always root for the U.S. when they play Mex.
DVM-
You could try one of the sports bars in Coventry in Cleveland Heights…the Winking Lizard should be good to you.
Going to have watch via live stream during the morning in my flat.
England now up 2-1 on Switzerland in Capello’s debut.
I was planning on watching the game at home, but if there will be supporters at Kitty’s, then i’ll head over there. That’s my normal City bar as it is.
Jhamp, where do you usually catch the City matches in NYC?
Boy we are getting spoiled as far as soccer on tv aren’t we? Now we are looking for HD from FSC. A few yrs ago you could not get a game on tv!
My son’s indoor game will end at 9 tonite so we’ll rush home to catch most of the game.
A get-together with friends in Salt Lake City!
Anybody watching in Cleveland (Westside)? I may go to The Pub in Rocky River.
At work…:o( I hate college athletics sometimes.
Maybe I can sneak some peaks in between media timeouts…

I’ll be at home watching the game in front of my HD TV. I can’t wait for the game to start. Go USA!
I will be watching on Univision at home while taping it for further review. I might listen to the audio call by Glenn Davis over the internet, though. GO USA! !VIVA LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS!
DonJuego — You lucky stiff! I’ll be in the cheap seats closer to the field.
Go USA!
From a box on the 50 yard line in Reliant Stadium.
El Classico del Norte! The greatest sporting event in North America!
I went to the SuperBowl in Houston and the previous USvMex game there. International soccer beats the Superbowl hands down!
Thanks, TC. I’ll probably try Phoenix. What about Roggie’s in Cleveland Circle? That’s where I was gonna try if no one responded.
In San Diego, will be watching at home TV Azteca HD from Mexico and also via internet on ESPN360.
Stout! in NYC
exheraldnewsboy,
Cool, maybe I’ll see you there. I’ll be wearing a dark blue Adidas jacket. Or if its raining I’ll be wearing a black and green Galaxy jacket.
I might check out those other places you mentioned as well. According to Google, Pinky’s is a pizza place, correct? The other place, Flatitron, is a sports bar?
At home in Central NJ with my cat Hampton who is an amazing goalkeeper… almost as good as Timmy Howard! He loves watching the US Nats especially when thay are playing Mexico… he just whispered “Dos a cero” to me as he saw I was on Ives blog… He really does speak fluent Spanish. 🙂
Boston – Go to the Phoenix Landing or most of the Revs supporters are going to Tyng’s in Tyngsboro Ma if your north of boston near NH or Corrib’s pub at 201 Harvard St, Brookline will have a good sized group too.
Real Salt Lake is hosting a viewing party. Don’t think beer will be one of the beverages served, but you never know!
At the Fox and the Hound in Houston…..unable to get last min tix’s
Peanut Farm in Anchorage, Alaska. Should be a good crowd.
Rob C.
I suggest you go to Stout, they will have their own viewing room(i believe). There will be lots and lots of US supporters there.
Stout supports US fans, Nevada Smith’s has a history of screwing them over. Support Stout.
