U.S. national team midfielder Michael Bradley followed up his stellar two-goal performance against Mexico on Wednesday with another solid showing in Germany. The 21-year-old scored the equalizing goal in Borussia Moenchenglabach's 1-1 tie vs. Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Much like his opening goal against Mexico, Bradley took full advantage of putting himself in good position on Saturday as he latched onto a long free kick from teammate Marco Marin and chested home his second Bundesliga goal of the season from two yards out to give Moenchengladbach a 79th minute equalizer just three minutes after Claudio Pizarro scored what looked to be the winning goal of the match.

Bradley returns to action next Saturday when he and Moenchengladbach take on Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96.

What do you think of Bradley's performance today and his recent run of top form? Do you see him going on a goal-scoring binge similar to last season with Heerenveen? Are you anxious to see him follow up the Mexico game with another strong showing next month against El Salvador? Still amazed that he is just 21?

  1. OK, but when Jozy Altidore is sitting on the bench when the US has a lone striker up front in 2010, I’ll feel much better knowing that the US has two defensive midfielders starting every match.

If he moved Dempsey up front with Ching or Altidore and his son at RM, I wouldn’t complain. But if you’re happy with the one striker system has done for the US, then maybe we’re not watching the same matches.

Two quick questions (1)How many national teams have two starting defensive midfielders and (2)how many don’t have an attacking midfielder? So far, I only know of one answer that’s correct for both questions.

  2. Ragerman,
OR instead of a very competent coach risking his credibility by displaying nepotism and playing his son….
maybe oh maybe the guy is a better judge of talent than you and knew who to bring along at a young age
