If you weren't satifisfied with the nine goals scored in the four MLS playoff games this past weekend, you certainly would have gotten your fill of goals if you were lucky enough to see Lyon and Marseille battle to a 5-5 draw on Sunday.
Lyon edged closer to first-place Bordeaux with the tie, but will feel disappointed at not having been able to secure the three points in a match it led on three different occasions.
Here are the highlights from one of the season's most exciting matches so far:
What did you think of the match? What was the last goal-fest you watched? Hoping for ten goals combined in the rest of the MLS playoffs?

I live in France and don’t have the Canal+, the channel that this game was on. The highlights on the news made it look to me mostly like a Three Stooges movie set at the Stade Gerland. It did look entertaining, though, and I’d much rather have watched it than the last goalfest I saw — the FC Dallas 6-LA Galaxy 3 game in LA a couple months ago. I wanted to choke someone after that game.
The best and most entertaining match of the season.
Mandanda needs to step it up for France’s sake. Heinze is still awful!
Seconded…
Congrats to Grenoble for getting their first point of the season…yikes.
All UEFA matches are on this Saturday and next Wednesday.
I hate both teams, so yesterday’s result is beautiful to me.
Actually both keepers are pretty good, I didn’t see the match so I won’t comment on their play but they’re two of the best younger keepers in the world and both actually represent France.
Why did I stop watching this in the 73rd minute?
Off-topic… does anyone know if any of the UEFA games will be on TV on saturday???
Last goal-fest I attended was RBNY vs LA Galaxy when Jozy was here…
Amazing game! Bordeaux is 1st of the league, not Monaco. And the surprising team of Auxerre is #3.
hmm… both teams could use an American keeper
That goalkeeping by Hugo Lloris was, to quote Charles Barkley, “turrible, turrible, turrible.”
Monaco is not in first place.
A master clinic in piss poor goaltending.
Wow, what a collection of high quality goals. MLS forwards are simply not capable of striking the ball that well with that kind of frequency.
