If you're a U.S. national team fan hoping to catch a glimpse of midfielder Jermaine Jones, you may soon get your chance.
Jones returned to practice for Schalke 04 on Tuesday, having finally recovered from a nagging shin injury that has sidelined him for most of 2009. Jones ran through training exercises in practice.
Currently in third place in the Bundesliga, Schalke 04 has three games remaining before the start of its winter break on Dec. 19, giving Jones an opportunity to return to action before the end of the year.
The news of Jones' recovery comes just days after injured U.S. national team forward Charlie Davies said he would recover from multiple injuries in time for the World Cup.
What do you think of Jones returning to training? Think he will play for Schalke before the winter break? Think the soccer heavens are finally starting to smile down on the U.S. team?
