  1. Apparently Denmark beat them 8-0 in 1948. Not the worst beatdown of Poland by northern Europeans that decade. Too soon?

  2. Spain will win the WC. They have the talent, the heart, the mentality and they play as a TEAM.

each of the starting XI is world class but there is no standout. they play for the man to the left/right.

  4. Probably b/c he doesn’t play for Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Valencia. Just joking around b/c I noticed that they started 10 guys for this game from those 3 spanish clubs. The only exception was Capdevilla. They should have started Ramos instead then the entire starting 11 would be from the 3 top clubs in spain this year.

  5. Informa Silvia Barba por TVE que “Iniesta sufre molestias en la parte posterior del muslo derecho”. Esperemos que no sea nada…

    He hurt his right buttcheek.

  6. ESPN2 does have a nightly highlight show, I believe it’s called World Cup Primetime. 2-hour show, but it’s on at different times each night. Looks like it’s on at 8:30 Eastern Friday, then 1:00 a.m. Eastern Saturday night. They probably work it around the existing programming.

  11. Two entirely unrelated questions: 1) Does anyone know where a I can find a printable TV schedule for the World Cup and 2) Is ESPN airing a nightly highlights show? If so, when is it on?
