If Sporting Kansas City is to remain unbeaten in the coming weeks, it will have to do so without Aurelien Collin.
Collin has been ruled out for approximately six weeks with a lower back injury. He sustainted the knock in Sporting Kansas City's 4-2 win over over Toronto FC last Saturday. The timeframe of his recovery means he will home matches against Real Salt Lake, the Seattle Sounders and FC Dallas.
Collin has started 15 games so far in his debut MLS season and scored three goals.
Here are more stories from around the league:
FC DALLAS WAIVE STRIKERS
FC Dallas Waived forwards Milton Rodriguez and Peri Marosevic on Thursday.
Marosevic was a first-round draft pick in 2009, but never established himself with Dallas, while Rodriguez impressed as a veteran striker in 2010 but never quite got going in 2011.
WHITECAPS WAIVE PAIR OF DEFENDERS
The Vancouver Whitecaps have waived defenders Mouloud Akloul and Blake Wagner. Alkoul made eight league appearances and two starts in this year's Nutrilite Canadian Championship while Wagner started in all nine of his MLS appearances. Both joined the Whitecaps last year prior to its 2010 USSF D-2 Pro League season.
RSL-VANCOUVER MATCH RESCHEDULED
The Vancouver Whitecaps-Real Salt Lake match originally scheduled for earlier this month has been moved to Thursday, October 6. The match, which was to be played on July 16, was postponed after heavy rains made the temporary grass field installed at Empire Field unplayable. The grass field was installed to accomodate the Whitecaps' friendly against Manchester City.

How do you see Sporting Kansas City coping without Collin? Surprised the Whitecaps waived Akloul and Wagner? Still upset that the RSL-Vancouver match had to be rescheduled?

their lucky this happened during the xfer window
Home-cookin for Alianza right now…they should be a man doewn
With David F, Castillo, and 2 new signings, I think FCD becomes the team to beat if they aren’t already. Because of their defense, they will be tough in Champs League.
interesting, curious to see how he fits in. I guess hes a natural striker? dont expect much but i guess he was highly touted in the 2009 draft (whatever thats worth)
Coach said in a recent interview that FCD was very close to adding a new player and that they were trying to bring in a second new player as well. Rodriguez never seemed like a great fit here so I’m sure this is all about making room for some new signings. With Ferreira and Castillo both coming back in the next month or so, FCD could really make a run both in MLS and the CCL (assuming we get out of the preliminary round).
Dude never played
Any CCL coverage???
Tracked a couple back into the goal…eurotard
What do Dallas fans have to say about this dude?
The analysis you are reading is based on one lousy Harkes comment.
Geoff C was responsible for 2 goals, and Franklin was responsible for another.
Are you saying this would have happened with a guy like Borchers or Rochat? Not to mention Solli, Marquez, Gonzalez, John, Ihemelu, or Demerit. Except for Olave, the defensive selections were dreadful. Bobby Convey? What has that guy done this year??? Dunivant, Zach Loyd, and Benitez are better defenders.
MLS needs to fire whoever does their scheduling because it is piss poor!
Looks like FCD is claring up room for some big moves….they still ned to find a way to replace Ferreira’s production in the middle.
Haha he was the only one able to track back. Get a life
Yes Cameron got shoved away pretty easily on Berbotovs goal but he isn’t a central defender by trade and this is an exhibition remember so to come on a thread and bad mouth him is purely idiotic. The guy single handly saved at least 2 other goals and I’d rather seen him in more of a stopper role in front with Beckham and Joseph in the middle with Davis out left as he should have been.
Pretty much every analysis I’ve read had Cameron as one of the better MLS players last night…
Marosevic has been picked up by TFC
Rearing your ugly Geoff-Cameron-hating mug in another thread, Mario?
I thought Vancouver had already waived one of those guys before the guaranteed contract date.
Certainly would have been better than chicken foot Cameron. The D-Mid was absolutely manhandled by Berbatov.
Damn, just when SKC was starting to turn the corner. Colin has been a rock and would have helped the All-Stars out quite a bit.
