  1. That’s what I said! But then I came to my senses that a “FIFA 2011 jozy” doesn’t really count in the real world… Such a bumer.. Jozy had 22 goals in la Liga and this year he has 14 goals in 5 matches for the NATS. 🙁

  2. Steve Cherundolo is as good if not better at crossing the ball and is a superior defender.

Until the man starts to really deteriorate, and you have no idea whether that will happen before ofr after 2014, there is no reason to sit him down for Chandler.

It makes more sense to see what else Chandler can do. His right back skills will not wither and die. He is younger and more flexible than Dolo so he is the one you shift around.

The US has a very good RB in Dolo, one almost as good in Chandler and an okay one in Lichaj. It’s a good problem to have.

  3. He’s EXACTLY what Arsenal need. But I suspect he’ll secure a move to a bigger club (hey, Arsenal used to be a big club!). That first goal was class; low center of gravity, great ball control, and power. I just pray to god that Mourinho doesn’t get him in his clutches.

  4. I was playing Football Manager the other night and I figured I might as well be realistic if I’m in charge of Arsenal. So, instead of buying Eden, I bought his younger, cheaper brother Thorgan.

  5. AND that will break my heart … and laptop/cell phone wherever I read that first.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS! Pony up the cash.

  6. Yes. He couldn’t cross with his left in his first ever game at left back, which means he will NEVER be able to do so. Good thinking there.

You realize Cherundolo’s service from the right is actually pretty good, right?

  7. maybe you meant: Timmy “I’m-totally-playing-out-of-position-and-can’t-cross-with-my-left-foot-making-me-a-one-dimensional-left-back” Chandler.

Keep him on the right where the team can use all of his skills. His service from the right is to good to sacrifice by putting him on the left.

  8. That kind of dribbling would translate into some kind of out of this world league. That was crazy good. I can’t imagine how that must feel to execute something so quick with such a delicate touch at the same time. Incredible.

  9. Is that that same Eden Hazard that Timmy Chandler and a jet-lagged USMNT totally shut down last week in Brussels 🙂

Yeah, I agree that the USMNT needs to do better at scoring goals, but the defense the past three matches has been strong.

  10. Nice, he is definitely a quality player.
Maybe the excessive patting on the back from the Belgian coaches after Chandler shut him down and he was subbed helped to boost his self-confidence….
