Americans Abroad: A Look Ahead

Michael Bradley may not currently be a starter on the U.S. men's national team, but he'll have a big chance to show head coach Jurgen Klinsmann that he's ready for more minutes.

Bradley and Chievo Verona take on league leader Juventus this weekend in a match that the U.S. international should play a big part of. Bradley has played well for Chievo in recent weeks, and another strong outing could help the club close the three-point gap between them and Juventus.

Fresh off of two solid performances with the U.S. team, Oguchi Onyewu will aim to help Sporting CP advance in the Taca de Portugal (Portuguese Cup). Onyewu and Sporting battle Famalicao in the third round of the tournament.

Jermaine Jones isn't likely to start, but he could continue his recent spell of playing time when Schalke 04 takes on Kaiserslautern. Jones has seen increased minutes in recent weeks, and he could make a case to start a game should he come off the bench on Saturday.
