Picking up on your point about teammates… The flick off the corner by Vermaelen was class IMO to set up RVP’s second. I’m sure Arsenal fans are thrilled that he is back (always thought he was a bargain buy).

Gunners looking pretty damn good at the moment. RVP is playing great, but in this game he was benefiting from some hard, intelligent work from his team mates.

And the referee gives them a lot because they ALWAYS HAVE THE BALL. You’re going to get fouled often when you always have the ball and are just tic-tacing back and forth with it.

Finally seeing what other commentators have been discussing regarding Chelsea’s high defensive line. Wow, they are pretty high indeed. So far, Leverkusen looks like they aren’t trying hard to exploit it with diagonal runs and thru balls. Hopefully they start putting on the pressure soon.
