Juventus has seen their Serie A title chances fade in recent weeks, but AC Milan''s tie vs. Catania on Saturday has given Juve some hope of catching up.
If the Turin side is going to catch Milan, they will need a win against Napoli today in one of the day's top match-ups.
In Germany, U.S. national team teammates Fabian Johnson and Danny Williams will lead Hoffenheim against Schalke and U.S. teammate Jermaine Jones.

Don’t know about his interest level, but if he’s commenting on a football game you can be sure he’s drunk.
He has a morning show on Sirius/xm satellite radio and was out ill part of the last two weeks or so, but I thought he was back.
To be at the very top in soccer you need a lot more than confidence which the US woman and men teams have in spades. What you need is great soccer talent/technique and strategy like Spain and Germany. Being athletic like the US and Britain only helps so much.

Why be so belligerent? Can’t you just comment and be nice? Out of their last 3 meetings, Japan has won twice and just tied today. Japan beat the USWNT July 17, 2011 for the 2011 world cup crown, and they beat them again march 5, 2012 in the algarve cup. So, yes, the USWNT needs to build confidence.

And it’s not just the women. Japan is getting mens players onto higher quality Euro teams than the US at an increasing rate.

Brazil is no where near either the US or Japan in terms of talent – raw or otherwise. It has the best player in the world and that’s about it.

Agreed – impressive in such a short time that Japan has transformed itself into the spain of women’s soccer – skillful, possessive, beautiful AND winning soccer. Korea’s are following.
USA is talented, but needs confidence. It’ll come, but confidence breeds patience, skill & play out of traffic, and use one-two touch.
Generally all-around play is because of talent. One touch passing and possession, definitely talent.

The US was chasing a lot today, and Japan was winning a lot of 50/50s. Japan just played give and go and also chipped over defenders frequently. When Japan pressed up high the US had difficulty building from the back. As usual the US was premature in attack and needed a little more patience. Hope Solo really saved the day in the second half. Bottom line is that Japan is continuing to improve and the US is going to have to match their improvement.
Japan’s one touch passing and possession, pace, and now aggressiveness makes them very tough. I’m not seeing much here to say they aren’t just if not better than the US on any given day. All they’re really missing is a great goalkeeper and a strong, battling striker to give CB’s headaches.
All around play – ill give it to Japan.

At the World Cup I thought the US was the better team. I don’t think that anymore. Maybe the US can make some half time adjustments and steal this one. Japan’s possession game is very impressive.
