  1. Great win for RSL. Will Johnson blocked a half dozen crosses from Rosales. RSL cleared a lot of crosses down the middle but Seattle seldom had a player come on to them. Sounders were more balanced when Fernandez came on the left side for Estrada. I don’t know why Sigi thinks he can beat RSL with high ball into the box. Neither EJ or Montero could get to any those crosses.

  2. Indeed. Fire playing quite well without Rolfe. Robayo has looked great in all his time this year. Friederich injury not good.

  3. Glad Chicago won.

Maybe Thomas Floyd will discuss what they’re bringing to the game against Portland next week.

He should to that instead of just dreaming about what Timbers players may or may not see playing time, like he did with SKC as they prepared to take their medicine at Toyota Park.

  4. Wonder if Vancouver still feels that Lee Nguyen is not good enough to play on their team. “Football reasons” my butt.

Love seeing teams shaft good players and then get burned by them.

  5. RSL/Seattle game is entertaining and skillful for a nil draw at halftime. Higher quality from both sides than any of the other matches thus far…Just lacking that final finish. Can certainly tell they’re the elite of MLS.

  6. Lee Nguyen with the brace for the Revs. Sure wish I could see it on tv, or any game for that matter, but this tv deal MLS has worked out is beyond lousy.

  7. Not meant to be a bitter comment. Just pointing out that there were obvious differences. Yes we had no shots, but you guys looked like crap for the first 30 minutes largely thanks to Kitchen’s work in the center (Davis probably does not score that type of goal with Kitchen marking him). The same was true for the game at RFK, but thankfully it was not decisive. As for hacking, well I’m afraid neither of us can make unbiased statements about that subject so I have no response on that.

  8. It was awesome… I was a little disappointed with the energy before the goal, but the place went crazy and stayed at an elevated level the rest of the match.

    Already pumped for Tuesday night.

  9. The comment was clearly regarding the fact that DC United has never won in Houston. Each time they have worn their all blacks.

  10. Just got back from the dynamo game. Awesome! Having spent years at the rob, this place is amazing. Oh sweet goal by davis!

  11. Make all the excuses you want.

DC had 0 shots (period, not just on goal) before Kitchen came out.

The ref was crap and the boys in orange did a fantastic job not taking the bait with DC’s hacking and chopping. The ref was garbage (both ways) and we didn’t need our stadium opener marred by a bs red.

  12. Or stop losing key players to injury while playing Houston. The losses of Dudar and Kitchen swung both games heavily in Houston’s favor.

  13. haha…he was awful too. I love MLS, total supporter, but the officiating certainly brings it all down at least a notch

  14. The same thing happened to Cruz in preseason against Charleston. He was very fortunate he didn’t have his ankle broken then. THe trainers thought he did.

  15. LA’s period of dominance appears to be waning, and they never got the 2nd goal, still 1-1 77th. They might regret that later.

  16. I was thinking on the goal how susceptible LA are to speed… except Davy Arnaud got the goal and he’s hardly considered a sprinter, even by MLS standards.

  17. LA suddenly tearing MTL to shreds. Except neither Donovan or Keane can finish today, they both have looks but fire right at Rickets. Seems like another goal is inevitable though…

Best atmosphere I’ve seen for MTL, maybe it’s all in my head it but seems like they’re doing a better job of getting fans closer to the action behind the goal. Wenger about to come on.

  18. Dang. Tough for DCU that Kitchen is coming out (hope he is ok) given how calm his control and passing have been. He’s also been up to the physical battles. Thinking this opens up chances for the Dynamo.

  19. I live in the Dominican Republic now. And I have always been impressed with the national pride of other national teams as they sing their national anthems prior to the games. Kind of sad to me that more of our guys don’t manifest more national pride in this manner. Obviously there are other ways to prove you love your country, but I always appreciate it when I see folks embracing their flag and anthem. Props to Brian Ching as he sang along with the anthem. Its a small thing, but as a transplanted American I respect it, and appreciate it!

  20. Dynamo Stadium looks half empty. This is why MLS teams shouldn’t have stadiums out in the middle of nowhere. Put them in the urban core. Get rid of that plastic pitch while you’re at it, just an injury waiting to happen. Football lines? Really?

  21. Impact early goal on a simple long ball up the middle. I think LA needs to give Omar Gonzales the retroactive MVP award for last year. Their defense sucks without him
