D.C. United captain Dwayne De Rosario cemented his place in exclusive MLS company Wednesday night, becoming just the seventh player in league history to tally 100 career goals, joining Jeff Cunningham, Jaime Moreno, Landon Donovan, Ante Razov, Jason Kreis and Taylor Twellman. D.C. United compiled a highlight reel of all of his goals, capped off by his header against the New York Red Bulls Wednesday that brought him to the milestone. Enjoy:

I agree. I knew he was one of the best ever, but after watching that, he’s gotta be in the top 3. Amazing. The free kick around the wall is my fave.
And why didn’t TFC pay him?
How was he never picked up by a european team?
that said i’m glad he stayed in mls. he will go down as one of the greats, we need more Dero’s in the future,
it’s good for our league
It’s definitely a vulture/bird of prey type imitation.

brb I gotta go change my pants.
I mean…that is about as good of a 100 goals compilation as you will ever see…
I love seeing the old school uniforms. I think when teams do a throw back or retro jersey game, they should encourage the players to do the same with their hair.
imagine if he was american – donovan, dempsey and dero as CAM in a 4-2-3-1 – the 3 D’s
He would have added so much to every US team, including the current one.
What exactly is his celebration supposed to mean?
Pure Class, TFC was stupied to not have given him due respect!!!!!!!!!!!! Dale Dynamo.
I will be a fan of his wherever he plays… even after he retires. He’s scored so many great goals over the years.
Only problem with DeRo: he’s Canadian. Not that he would have been a team changing player, but it would have been great to have him in the US Midfield a few years back.
With DeRo as the posterboy for its evolution.
One of the more fascinating things about watching this video is just seeing the progression of the league. The kits, the lack of fans in the stands, the video production, the play, and how it’s progressed (for the much, much better) over time. This is like a snapshot of the league through leaner times to now.
i can honestly say i didn’t truly appreciate how classy of a scorer he was until i saw this … so many impressive strikes, and so few tap-ins and pks. and you gotta give the guy props for being consisistent with his celebrations. although i could live without seeing it again. ever.
I stand inconsequentially corrected. He played in a low div German league.
How and/or why did DeRo never make the jump across the pond?
DeRo is class. The MLS has been truly blessed with his play.
Wow.
