A ferocious rivalry. An emotional return. A hot team on the playoff hunt. CONCACAF Champions League revenge. It's all on the docket Wednesday night.
D.C. United and the New York Red Bulls meet in the rubber match of this year's Atlantic Cup, with United looking to creep up to third place in the Eastern Conference, while New York eyes the top spot and can leapfrog Sporting Kansas City for first place with a win. In New England, Shalrie Joseph returns to Gillette Stadium for the first time since the trade that shipped him to Chivas USA in a meeting of teams that combined to concede 10 goals over the weekend.
The Columbus Crew look to remain hot behind the new strike tandem of Federico Higuain and Jairo Arrieta as they take on the Philadelphia Union, while the Los Angeles Galaxy meet the Puerto Rico Islanders in a CCL group match, eyeing revenge for the 2010 preliminary round elimination at the hands of the NASL club.

LA reserves did look good, but they could still use some speed on the flanks.
Nice to see Buddle back, but he is not full fitness
Pat Noonan,
Please retire
Just got home from the Galaxy reserve league match. Oh wait, this is CCL! Oh boys put on a clinic tonight. So proud and stoked.
and then Stephens scores too!
Villareal, Stephens, McBean, Walker
I love player development, love it
nice statement by Galaxy soccer for their reserve team to stomp a s s like that
Stephens had the run of the filed, his best game in the uni
Its good to see our younger players taking it to PR. Definetly the more active team, controlling the game.
Every now and then I watch the Galaxy and see a bunch of old guys, complaining to the refs a little too much and not running quite hard enough… so its good to watch the young guys play with all that energy.
nice left footed finish in the upper corner from Mcbean off a Stephens cross!
GOAL out of the shoot from Jose!!!
amazing desire and skill. gets clipped in the head by defender flying by after his lunging touch makes it happen
he looks OK.
interesting response from Coach after last Thursday’s officiating fiasco. Beckham looked tired Sunday, Keene and LD aren’t going anyway tonight
and look at this!!!
Jose makes the play but looks hurt on the field…….
Jose good all over the field, the whole team good, unlucky perhaps not to have found a second goal in the first half
Galaxy basically fielding a youth team tonight…
Christopher Sullivan is a favorite and knows CONCACAF, good guy to have on the game tonight
Gaudette sucks. He has no positioning, and no reflexes. I guess he has the bald thing going, but beyond that, he’s worthless. He has killed this game. Red Bulls playing beautifully, and he lets in two absolutely weak goals. Fücking horrible.
Deleon has big upside too.
Keep hitting long balls! That was #100 for DeRo I think.
Lot of long balls from both sides. No call on the guy taking a piggy back ride on DeRo in the box was dicey.
I’m impressed by what complete players the young DC guys are — Kitchen, Hamid, and especially Najar. They have stuff to improve on. (For instance, Kitchen could shoot from distance.) But the holes in their games are relatively small ones.
stopstream.tv They have several streams for that match as well as streams for all the Euro,& SA Leagues.Plus the CONCACAF games tonite
I didn’t see much there.
If Thierry was passing to himself it would have been a goal.
That is where we disagree. To me that wasn’t a very good shot at all from that range with no pressure. I think McCarty is having a great season but the goalie merely had to fall to his right to make the save.
That being said, McCarty isn’t know for his finishing.
foul on jakovic
Why did the ref blow the whistle on Cahill before McCarty put it in the net?
Henry gave a big shoulder shrug when his teammate didn’t score off his over the shoulder pass. Trying to understand why he felt the need to shrug. His teammate got a good shot off but Hamid made a nice save.
Rauwshan McKenzie of Chivas USA with a goal and an assist . . . for New England. Dan Kennedy is having a very Dan Kennedy night.
Fussing about? Not a sitter? I hope that is sarcasm.
What was Henry fussing about? Great pass but it wasn’t exactly a sitter. Maybe his teammate had time for two touches.
Thierry Henry. Good god.
Red bulls keeper not covered in glory either.
Old ‘keeper blues: Gaudette gives it back.
Young ‘keeper blues: Bill Hamid makes two brilliant plays early on, then doesn’t get down quick enough and gives up one he should have saved.
Stone cold Bill gaudette.
Someone? Anyone?
anyone have any luck finding a working stream for DC v NYRB?
