Real Salt Lake has made the trip to Pennsylvania for tonight's visit to PPL Park, where they will take on a Philadelphia Union side still holding on to faint hopes of a playoff run (7:30pm, NBC Sports).
RSL got the week off to a good start, posting a 2-0 CONCACAF Champions League victory against Tauro FC. That victory helped them snap a four-match losing streak in all competitions.
They face a Philadelphia squad that is starting to plan for the future as the team's chances for a playoff place grow less and less likely.
SBI will be providing live commentary on tonight's match, so please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

Chaque fois que la majorité parle d’Internet, elle parle uniquement de ses dangers. C’est le même principe que lorsque l’on ne voit que les trains qui arrivent en retard, et que l’on oublie tous ceux qui arrivent à l’heure quotidiendnement
Truer words have never been spoken.
If Freddy just played with the intensity that Marfan has, he would be in a much better place.
Adu definitely most dangerous player since coming on.
Philly can’t take advantage of an RSL team missing their best attacker and best defender on top of just having played a full game days earlier.
No attacking spark.
At the end of the exercise, it’s that unexpected. RSL is of course the superior team but they are tired and on the road. Philly has some quality but they score just a bit over a goal a game. Nils everyone, Nils!
That wasn’t a pass man, he was hitting that to himself. It was a brilliant move that almost worked.
Freddy has absolutely no right foot. Wide open shot for him, instead he plays with it, makes a bad pass that happens to go out for a Philly throw in.
I don’t know if Philly could have bossed the MF if Adu were playing. He is not renowned for his 100% effort to close down the ball.
You might be right but I don’t think Philly can be unhappy with the way the team have taken RSL out of their game.
Leaving Freddy Adu on the bench is more and more looking like another foolish move from Philly.
This is a nice aggressive game. Being played hard by two somewhat desperate teams. There is some good skill on display too by both teams.
I agree with Kyle Martino here on the mutual yellows to Wingert and Farfan. They both were looking for an argument with that tackle, the reaction, etc. No reason to kick players out for that.
Clarification: I agree with Martino agreeing with the referee
wow, Angry soccer players.
Disagree there. A couple of physical bumping fouls are not cheap shots. I’m a total neutral here but that wasn’t a cheap half (unless it happened in the first 13 minutes as I missed that).
This official is allowing Philly to cheap shot the hell out of RSL. Late tackle after late tackle with no call.
I can’t imagine what it must feel like to be a Union fan hearing announcers laud your striker’s best aspect being that he was a running back.
And he along with Farfan get the start over Adu.
Okay this is unkind but now we know why DC United traded Cruz. 🙂 Nice chance is missed there.
The announcers were charitable in saying “Gomez is not fast at all”. They could have said “Gomez is apparently carrying a piano under his jersey”
Philly has maintained that pressure in the midfield and frankly look pretty good. They haven’t created anything great but they are bossing the field.
alright Philly, let’s DOOP this!
use safari to find a stream?
i watched the Union game vs. DC last week and Adu was pretty much the only guy that looked likely to create any goals on offense. and he was subbed out with the Union leading 1-0, and then DC took over late in the game and should’ve won. and today Adu is on the bench? don’t seem like good coaching to me, but what do i know…
Any way to watch this on an iphone? Long shot, I know.
