Rosenborg BK have started their season just as well as anyone could have imagined. They have won all three of their league games, scored nine goals and are yet to concede.
It has been a good run of form for Rosenborg at the start of the new campaign, and Mix Diskerud will look to make sure it continues this weekend.
Rosenborg host IK Start on Friday and Diskerud will try to help his club grab a fourth straight victory while extending their shutout streak to 360 minutes. Whether they accomplish the latter feat or not, Rosenborg could use a win in order to try and avoid falling behind fellow perfect team, Aalesund, in the Eliteserien standings.
Herculez Gomez is another player who will be aiming to help his club build on recent success. Fresh off securing advancement to the CONCACAF Champions League final on Tuesday, Gomez and Santos Laguna will attempt to knock off Toluca at home on Friday. The match at Estadio Corona will be Santos’ third in seven days, so Los Guerreros will need a concentrated effort in order to avoid an upset result.
If you’re wondering what other match might be worth watching, look no further than Geoff Cameron and Stoke City’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday. Stoke are just three points clear of the drop zone and a result at home against the league leaders could go a long way in helping the Potters secure another year of play in the Premiership.

What’s up with Freddy Adu’s team in Brazil?
Did a search and it appears Bahia just fired their coach. So just like that, Adu finds himself yet again playing for a guy that didnt sign him.
Well that’s convenient. Another excuse for failing before he’s even started!
There are so many Americans littering the Championship these days – it makes me glad that Verizon FINALLY got beIn Sport. If Spector wasn’t injured I would def. watch that LEicester BC match. I have always thought Whitbread was one of the biggest hard luck cases for the USMNT ever. When he was healthy at Norwich last year he looked like the real deal.
Whitbread not dressed
Definitely keeping an eye on that Leicester City v Birmingham City game this afternoon, as Leicester are tied with Bolton 2 points out of the promotion playoff. So, sorry Zak, but let’s go Birmingham.
And on a related note, did anybody see Bolton had an “ask Stu” on their official twitter feed yesterday? Kinda surprising given that he’s not even with the team at the moment.
Everyone see Terrence Boyd’s new tattoo? I might have to watch him Saturday to check it out. Also maybe we should get him to talk to John Anthony Brooks before the U-20s.
Great tat, but is it that new? He got it in September of last year…
He got the eagle in September but now he has an American flag underneath it.
Meanwhile, at the opposite end of the table from Mix, Josh Gatt and Molde have lost their first three.
Mix >> Gatt
Actually if you had Gatt’s speed and movement with Mix’s touch on the ball, you would have one heck of a player.
