  1. The final was great as a neutral fan! The refs called a good game. Some of you are ridiculous; What more do want?!?!

  2. This game was so violent. I would have sent off like 4 people. KC’s goal only happened because someone. No one innocent in this game.

  3. This is such a terrible way to decide the league’s champion.

    20 degree weather + 120 minutes + PKs?

    God these are awful penalties.

    • well you must be drinking lots of scotch, ’cause NO it hasn’t been “enjoyable”.
I haven’t counted more than 2-3 passes tops connecting going forward during the whole game.but hey, if that’s what you call enjoyable, then enjoy i guess.

      • and how so, steveNC, not trying to be mean, but seriously, it hasn’t been a fun final. I’m watching espn in s. america and the announcers are trying to be positive about the game and they can’t help but question the style of play in a final. mind you one of the commentators is Giovanni Savarese ex-mls and current cosmos coach. great if you enjoyed it, but don’t deny it’s been enjoyable..i would say chill, but i’m sure you’re more than just that.

      • It is a championship game in 20 degree weather… Are you expecting Spain out there in Madrid? Almost all championship games are choppy and throw in the weather…..

  4. Actually the game is pretty good. Both teams with opportunities. Cold weather is affecting players reaction times, making for some interesting play. But really, I think it’s a good tense match.

  5. The attacking both ways has been fun, but the thuggery by both teams needs to calm down. It’s not fun to see guys just straight up hitting each other like an NFL game. The ref seems on the verge of losing control of things.

  6. WOW i’m a huge MLS fan……but it’s an ugly game to watch. I’m in s. america w/ a few ppl and this is not looking attractive at all……and fans in the states want mls to go to a fifa calendar(winter??).

    • I’m a mls fan in Portland, it’s in the 20s here today. 0C or so. The weather is definitely affecting the style today. It would be a terrible mistake to match the euro schedule. High school and college soccer are fall/winter sports, with club soccer playing through the summer. MLS is doing it right, however, they so take a look at a warm weather neutral venue for the cup.

      • hey Yep, come down south, it’s in the low 80’s!. Been to portland, great city. the second half picked up a bit, but it’s still sluggish and the weather has a lot to do with it, although the ref isn’t helping at all! horrible officiating and allowing way to much rough play.

  7. Is this MLS’ top officiating crew? Because that’s embarrassing.

Haven’t watching a lot of SKC games this year, but they seem to… have trouble staying on their feet around the edge of the RSL penalty area.

  8. Feilhaber deserves a red for throwing a temper tantrum and throwing himself on the floor acting like saborio pushed him. SKC you have no class

  9. Feilhaber with the intentional kick out and ridiculous flop.

How does Feilhaber escape without a yellow for intentionally kicking someone? WTF is going on with these refs.

  10. Aurrellian should have seen a red card right there.

Can we please…. PLEASE get competent officiating? I mean come on, it’s the finals for heaven’s sake.

  11. Collin gets away with shoving Saborio in the chest right in front of the ref–after the play. Not even a word.

    Get out of here MLS.
