The Columbus Crew have a monumental task heading into today’s Eastern Conference semifinal second leg against the New England Revolution. Not only must they try and beat the Revs by three goals (or win by two goals while scoring five or more away goals), the Crew must also find a way to generate goals without star playmaker Federico Higuain.
Higuain is out with a calf strain, forcing Crew head coach Gregg Berhalter to turn to a quicker team in hopes of turning today’s match into a track meet.
SBI will be providing live commentary on today’s match so please feel free to follow along with all the action here. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Today’s Revs-Crew SBI Live Commentary is after the jump):
Wow! New England is a jaugernaut.
Is this Team America? Nguyen, Jones, Davies, Rowe, Bunberry, Farrell, Shuttleworth,…etc. , led by Jay Heaps.
Can’t wait for game one v. NYRB!
This looks bad for the Crew but I still like what they are building. Some of there ball movement has been great. They just need a couple goal scorers and perhaps someone to play beside Parkhurst.
Well, they had him but they sold him. I admit it would have been hard to say no to making a 3 million dollar profit on a guy you bought 6 months ago.
Bretos & Moreno > Healy & Twellman
surprised they scheduled them this way.
bring on nyrb.. NE is going to the cup this year
STOP IT!!! just STOP.IT
I concur, but in the second half he is been asked to stay further back and looks better.
That bunbury miss though.
Jones has been very poor today.
No Higuain, no chance.
exactly. is he injured?, because if not, then berhalter F’ up bad. no one on the field right now can make a difference like him.
injured.
