Many of the nation’s best kick off this week, with two teams looking to keep their undefeated records intact and another side hoping to continue its dominance in the Big East.

SBI No. 10 Georgetown is undefeated in conference play and has recently looked superb, as many expected it to be when the Hoyas were chosen as the SBI College Soccer Preseason No. 1 team in August.

Winners of seven out of their last eight games, the Hoyas host Marquette in another Big East challenge Tuesday. Brandon Allen, Arun Basuljevic and Alex Muyl will lead the charge for Georgetown, but expect Golden Eagles goalscorers Kelmend Islami and David Selvaggi to cause problems for the home side.

Meanwhile, No. 2 North Carolina hosts a non-conference opponent in College of Charleston Tuesday, while No. 1 Creighton hits the road to meet Butler Wednesday.

For the Bluejays, it will be only the third time this season they have played a road match, as 10 of the team’s 12 games have been played at Morrison Stadium. No matter where they play, though, forward Fabian Herbers continues to score goals, currently leading the country with 10.

The Bluejays will hope his form stays starting Wednesday, as four of Creighton’s six remaining regular season matches are on the road.
