U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team midfielder Emerson Hyndman may make his Bournemouth debut in his home country.

Minnesota United announced on Wednesday that they will host the Premier League club for a friendly on July 20th at National Sports Center Stadium. The Loons recently took on Mexican side  Club León in front of a record crowd at Target Field.

The Cherries will travel to the United States on July 10 before spending 10 days in Chicago. The English club will then fly to Minnesota for the friendly.

“Last year the first-team travelled to Philadelphia and it proved to be incredibly beneficial,” said Bournemouth Chief Executive Neill Blake. “It’s important that pre-season preparations are done correctly and we’re pleased that we will be travelling to America once again.

“Not only will the trip provide the squad with important time together both on and off the training pitches, but it will also be great to play our first game of pre-season against Minnesota United.”

Bournemouth’s roster includes Hyndman, who joined the club from Fulham on June 17.  As a member of the Cottagers last season, Hyndman made 16 appearances in the Championship.

What do you think of the friendly? Excited to see Hyndman and Bournemouth feature in the U.S.?
