With leagues around the world on holiday break, English action once again takes centerstage over the weekend as several Americans collide in Championship play.
Friday should be a big day for Americans in England, with several key matchups from contending teams. DeAndre Yedlin and Newcastle have been near the top for the majority of the season, but sit two points behind leaders Brighton ahead of a clash with Eric Lichaj and 11th-place Birmingham. Meanwhile, third-place Danny Williams and Reading host Tim Ream and Fulham as the former look to continue their push for a promotion spot.
In Scottish action, Hearts face Aberdeen over the weekend as Perry Kitchen and Bjorn Johnsen look to continue the club’s push from fourth-place. Elsewhere, David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town takes on Blackburn Rovers in Championship play while Gboly Ariyibi and Duane Holmes hope to take the field in League One action.
