Following the international break, focus shifts back to club soccer as several U.S. Men’s National Team stars look to help their club’s push as the season winds down.
German soccer once again serves as headliner as several Americans face vital matchups. John Brooks, Fabian Johnson and Bobby Wood are attempting to overcome fitness issues as they look to take the field with the latter facing a vital match with Cologne as his side fights off relegation. Terrence Boyd and Darmstadt are also battling relegation, and the American forward will also get a chance at revenge as he faces his former club RB Leipzig. Christian Pulisic, meanwhile, may be rested as Borussia Dortmund faces Schalke.
In England, Geoff Cameron and Stoke City face off with the reigning Premier League champions Leicester City, but it remains to be seen if the USMNT defender will be fit in time. DeAndre Yedlin is also doubtful for Newcastle United as he looks to battle back from injury.
As for Americans who are actually healthy enough to play, Mexican soccer should see several USMNT returnees take the field. Paul Arriola returns to Tijuana for a clash with Atlas while Omar Gonzalez and Pachuca take on Puebla. Jorge Villafana also continues his push towards the Santos Laguna first team heading into a clash with Jonathan Bornstein and Queretaro.
Elsewhere, Mix Diskerud and Goteborg face Malmo as the former NYCFC midfielder looks to make his first league appearance while Emerson Hyndman and Rangers face off with Motherwell in Scottish action.
