Copa del Rey El Clásico headlines This Week’s Soccer on TV and Online

For all of the criticism and financial uncertainty surrounding Barcelona heading into this season, nobody should have expected them to be running Spain. But they’re on the cusp of it.

Thursday’s Copa del Rey semifinal kickoff between Barcelona and arch-rival Real Madrid is the latter’s last hope at holding on to any domestic power as the Supercoa de Espana fell through its hands, and a seven-point gap leaves the La Liga table as a longshot.

Arsenal remains atop the Premier League ranks, and Everton remains in the drop zone. The last time they faced off, Everton pulled off the upset at Goodison Park. They play the reverse fixture at the Emirates on Wednesday for a potential fate-changer in terms of their respective statuses.

It seems like the new Apple and MLS partnership is off to a successful start, and if you were tied up watching your favorite club this weekend then Monday’s Portland Timbers – Sporting Kansas City match might be your final chance to check out the presentation while it’s still free.

Several of England’s biggest teams remain in the FA Cup, which is in the fifth round as of this week. Given Manchester United’s unlikely status for the chips to fall its way in the Premier League, it feels like cup again is something Erik ten Hag should prioritize if he wants to bring another trophy to his side of Manchester.
