Cade Cowell earned his first start for Liga MX side Chivas on Tuesday and walked away with three points in front of his new supporters.
Cowell started and played 57 minutes in Chivas’ 3-2 Liga MX victory over Toluca. The former San Jose Earthquakes homegrown won all four of his duels, drew one foul, and created one offensive opportunity for Chivas. Although he didn’t end up on the stat-sheet, the 20-year-old certainly showed positive moments in Chivas’ first overall victory since November 30, 2023.
Cowell will be fighting to start once again on Sunday when Chivas visits Atletico San Luis.
In England, Antonee Robinson and Fulham tied Everton in EPL play. Chris Richards and Crystal Palace got the better of Auston Trusty and Sheffield United.
Elsewhere, Griffin Yow scored twice for Westerlo in a league victory. Mark McKenzie and Genk suffered defeat.
