Sources: Bryan Reynolds, Griffin Yow garnering club interest ahead of potential Olympic involvement

Bryan Reynolds is in the final stages of his second season with Belgian side Westerlo but the American fullback might not be around for a third.

Hull City are among several EFL Championship teams interested in acquiring Reynolds this summer, a source close to the player confirmed to SBI. Clubs in Turkey and France are also interested in the former FC Dallas homegrown defender.

GOAL USA originally reported the Tigers’ interest in Reynolds.

The 22-year-old right back originally joined Westerlo in a permanent deal from AS Roma in July 2022. Reynolds has totaled 68 appearances for the Belgian First Division club, scoring one goal and adding nine assists.

He has spent parts of the last two seasons with fellow American, Griffin Yow. Yow, a former DC United academy product, is coming off a breakout season with Westerlo, scoring seven goals and adding seven assists in 28 appearances.

Yow is also garnering interest from England, as well as in MLS, a source close to the player confirmed. The 21-year-old attacker is eligible to occupy a U22 roster spot, should he decide to move back to MLS.

The Athletic first reported the growing interest in Yow earlier this spring.

Prior to his move to Westerlo, Reynolds also spent time with fellow Belgian club Kortrijk on loan from Roma. Reynolds made nine appearances for Kortrijk and eight for AS Roma.

After coming through the FC Dallas academy, Reynolds made 31 MLS appearances for the first team. He also spent time with Dallas’ then-USL affiliate North Texas SC, scoring one goal and adding two assists in 12 appearances.

Earning his U.S. men’s national team debut in 2021, Reynolds has earned seven senior caps. He’s also featured six times for the U.S. Under-23 men’s national team, and remains an option for this summer’s Olympic squad.

    • Reynolds I could see, he’s got the physical build for it. Yow I think might be a bit undersized for The Championship.
