Chivas signs former USYNT standout Richie Ledezma

Richie Ledezma’s club career will continue in Liga MX.

Ledezma joined Mexican club Chivas de Guadalajara, the club announced. The former U.S. youth national team standout made the move from Eredivisie side PSV, ending a six-and-a-half year stay in the Netherlands.

Ledezma, who was linked with Chivas since the conclusion of the European season, is coming off his best club campaign of his career. The 24-year-old made 38 appearances for PSV in the 2024-25 campaign, scoring one goal and one assist.

Despite battling injuries throughout his time in Holland, Ledezma used his versatility to earn a key role in Peter Bosz’s squad. He won two league titles, one KNVB Cup and one Dutch Super Cup in Eindhoven.

An Arizona native, Ledezma made his USMNT debut in 2020, but has yet to feature for the program since. He has since opened the door to the Mexican national team, but is still waiting for his first appearance.

Moving to Chivas teams Ledezma up with USMNT winger Cade Cowell.
