Former U.S. youth national team defender Jonathan Tomkinson is heading to League Two.
Tomkinson signed with Cheltenham Town as a free agent signing, the club announced Friday. His contract will run through the 2025-26 league campaign.
A Texas native, Tomkinson was last under contract with EFL Championship side Norwich City. He made three senior appearances for the Canaries, featuring once in league play, and twice in EFL Cup action.
Tomkinson also spent time on loan at EFL clubs Bradford City and Stevenage, as well as Scottish Premiership club Ross County. He made 49 combined appearances during his three loan spells away from Carrow Road.
The 23-year-old previously featured for the U.S. Under-17 and U-23 national teams, earning 11 caps for his country at those levels.
Cheltenham Town sit in 22nd place in League Two and travel to Gillingham on Saturday.
