Making his fifth-consecutive cameo for Dutch giants PSV, American forward Ricardo Pepi added to his increasing goal list this season.
Pepi came off the bench on Friday and scored his fourth goal of the season in all competitions. Peter Bosz’s men rolled to a 5-2 league victory over Fortuna Sittard, sitting in second place and just behind Feyenoord on goal difference.
Not long after Fortuna Sittard cut into the PSV lead, Pepi put the match on ice with a confident finish in the 82nd minute. Ryan Flamingo’s pass allowed Pepi to race upfield before chipping goalkeeper Mattijs Branderhorst.
PSV would add a fifth and final goal of the night to further pad its lead, extending its winning run to five matches in all competitions.
As for Pepi, he gained some valuable confidence heading into a midweek UEFA Champions League trip to Olympiakos. The U.S. men’s national team striker will aim to be among the starters before the November camp roster is announced.
In England, Tyler Adams scored his first goal in England. Ethan Horvath helped Sheffield Wednesday earn one point against West Bromwich Albion. Brenden Aaronson and Leeds United suffered a hammering at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Hopefully Pepi starts seeing more than just a handful of minutes a game soon.
I think they’re just going slow after maybe rushing him back in August. They’ve got two games every week so they’re taking it slow.
My dude, Ricardo Pepi…..this kid with a little bit more physical attributes like speed and strength / physical stamina……..will be a handful for ANY team. That touch is pure class and individual skill.
Girma dressed! That’s great! Looking forward to her making her return to the pitch.
