Christian Pulisic closes 2025 with 20th AC Milan goal of year

American attacker Christian Pulisic helped AC Milan end its 2025 schedule on a winning note in Serie A play.

Pulisic scored his 10th goal of the season in all competitions as AC Milan defeated Hellas Verona 3-0 at the San Siro. The goal also was Pulisic’s 20th of the calendar year, tying him with Inter’s Lautaro Martinez atop the Serie A Golden Boot race.

Massimiliano Allegri’s squad grabbed a 1-0 lead going into halftime as Pulisic broke the deadlock in stoppage time. Adrien Rabiot flicked on a corner kick at the near post, which Pulisic redirected into the back of the net.

Christopher Nkunku extended the Rossoneri’s lead to 2-0 in the 48th minute, scoring from the penalty spot for his first league goal for the club.

Nkunku added his second and Milan’s final goal of the match five minutes later, finishing off a rebound in the box after Luka Modric was denied by Hellas Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo.

Pulisic finished the day with 76 minutes played in his 14th appearance of the campaign. The 27-year-old now has eight Serie A goals on the season, putting him on good pace to set a new career-high in league tallies.

Pulisic is also only one of two players in Serie A to have been directly involved in at least 50 goals in league play since his debut in 2023, according to the club (31 goals, 19 assists). The aforementioned Martinez is the other player on that small list (53 goal contributions).

AC Milan will close the year in the top-three of the Serie A table and next faces a trip to Cagliari on January 2.
