Haji Wright’s name will surely go down in Coventry City history.
Wright came off the bench on Saturday and delivered the Sky Blues’ winning goal in a 2-1 M69 derby victory over Leicester City. It marked Wright’s ninth goal of the season in all competitions and his first since October 4.
The visiting Foxes struck first through Jordan James’ opening goal after 10 minutes, giving Leicester City a 1-0 lead.
However, Frank Lampard’s squad would use a second-half rally to claim all three points on the day.
Ellis Simms equalized for the Sky Blues in the 47th minute before Wright came off the bench to play the hero.
Wright bundled home a loose ball in the box with five minutes to play, giving the league-leaders a 2-1 advantage that they wouldn’t relinquish. It

Wright will hope his goal on Saturday kickstarts a strong second-half run for the U.S. men’s national team forward.
