Folarin Balogun is continuing to pick up the silverware at AS Monaco this season.
The Ligue 1 club named Balogun its Player of the Month for April, AS Monaco announced Wednesday. Balogun has now earned the honors in two of the last three months after continuing a stellar goalscoring run in 2026.
Balogun scored in three of his four club appearances in April, continuing a Ligue 1 goalscoring streak that extended to eight matches. He helped Sebastian Pocagnoli’s squad defeat Marseille 2-1 while also picking up points in draws with Auxerre and Toulouse.
Balogun also scored the club’s lone goal in a 4-1 road loss to Paris FC.
The 24-year-old became the fifth player to score in eight-consecutive Ligue 1 matches during the 21st century, joining Sonny Anderson, Shabani Nonda, Rony Lopes and Moussa Dembele to achieve the feat.
Balogun has now scored 18 goals for the club this campaign, six more than he totaled during his first two seasons at the club.
Seventh-place Monaco are still alive in the race for a European qualification spot this spring with three matches to go. They will next visit Metz on Saturday before taking on Lille (May 10) and Strasbourg (May 17) in their final two matches.
