Brandan Craig added to USMNT U-23 roster for October friendlies

U.S. Under-23 men’s national team head coach Marko Mitrovic has added a new face to his roster for upcoming friendlies against Mexico and Japan.

Brandan Craig has been added to the USMNT U-23 roster, U.S. Soccer announced Monday. Craig, a standout for the USMNT U-20 team, featured in all five matches at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

In total, Craig has made 15 appearances for the USMNT U-20’s.

A Philadelphia Union homegrown defender, Craig has made one appearance in Jim Curtin’s squad to date. He has also appeared in 38 matches for Union II in MLS NEXT Pro, scoring three goals and registering three assists.

He is currently on loan at Austin FC for the remainder of the 2023 MLS season.

The USMNT U-23’s will face Mexico and Japan in Phoenix, Arizona later this month.
