Juventus’ quest to return to Coppa Italia glory continued Thursday with U.S. men’s national team midfielder Weston McKennie excelling against Frosinone.

McKennie registered two assists in a strong 90-minute performance as the Old Lady rolled to a 4-0 triumph. The USMNT midfielder had a hand in two of Juventus’ four goals as they clinched their spot into the tournament semifinals.

Arkadiusz Milik’s ninth-minute penalty kick boosted the Old Lady in front 1-0 after Fabio Miretti was bundled over inside of the box.

Milik doubled Juventus’ advantage in the 38th minute after McKennie picked out the veteran forward at the back post. McKennie almost tripped over the ball, but instead was able to cross into the Frosinone box, allowing Milik the chance to gather possession and score.

After Milik extended Juventus’ lead to 3-0 in the 48th minute, McKennie registered his second assist as Kenan Yildiz capitalized from a superb cross. It marked McKennie’s first multi-assist performance of his club career.

McKennie would log a full 90 minutes for Juventus while fellow USMNT teammate Tim Weah started and played 71 minutes.

Juventus will next face Lazio in a two-legged semifinal tie this April, but first a Serie A showdown with Sassuolo comes on Jan. 16.
