MARCUS RASHFORD (MANCHESTER UNITED). After scoring a brace to help the Red Devils defeat Danish club Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League, the 18-year-old forward netted yet another double on Sunday. Rashford helped Man United earn a crucial three points in a 3-2 win against Arsenal in his English Premier League debut.

LYON. Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 winning streak was snapped at 36 games by a strong performance from Lyon on Sunday. The win was important for Les Gones as they move into the last UEFA Champions League qualification spot on the French table. Maxwell Cornet and Sergi Darder bagged the two goals for Lyon.

MATCH OF THE WEEK
MANCHESTER CITY 1, LIVERPOOL 1 (3-1 in PKs). A well-worked opening goal. A late equalizer in front of more than 86,000 people. Many close extra-time chances. Tensions boiling over. A penalty-kick shootout. A goalkeeper proving to be the hero. The 2016 Capital One Cup final proved to be a spectacular event, and Man City walked off the field at Wembley Stadium the winner.

JOHANATAN OPOKU (VVV-VENLO). The 25-year-old Dutch midfielder scored an unbelievable goal for VVV-Venlo, juggling the ball over two defenders before chipping the goalkeeper from close range.
