Good morning all. It has been a pretty busy soccer day in Europe and it isn’t even noon in the US yet. Man City has already upset Man United, AC Milan has already won another match to pull closer to the top pack in Serie A and Clint Mathis has already netted his first goal in Greece.
Share your thoughts on the games that have already been played, those that are taking place as we speak (like Bayern-Bremen), and those that are going to take place (like the African Cup of Nations final).
Post your thoughts and observations below.
Freddy Adu DNP today in Benfica’s 4-1 win over P. Ferreira. Benfica advance to the quarterfinals now, and play Nurnburg on Thursday in the UEFA cup.
Jay DeMerit finally posted a new blog post (apologies for the redundant redundancy). Read it here:

Good stuff. He’s going to be named full-time captain for Watford! An he gives his reasons why he wasn’t at the last two U.S. camps.
As I was watching the Bayern game in Chinese and have no idea what the commentators were saying, does anyone else think Bayern was robbed with a goal called off for offsides? Seems like most the calls in question were going Bremen’s way.
Guti with his second goal…a shank that hits the inside of the post and goes in. 3 assists, too, for him. 6-0 RM.
Robben’s goal was gorgeous. Too bad he cannot stay healthy. And I hope Robinho’s injury isn’t serious . . .
Real Madrid 5 Valladolid 0 at halftime. Does Barca stand a chance anymore?
This is it! An Arsenal victory tomorrow seals the League.
COME ON ARSENAL!!!
If case you can not watch the final of the African Cup of Nations try BBC’s 1Xtra its the BBC’s black music station and they are covering the event with reporters placed in and outside of the final match. They are giving a play by play but they are cutting into the music and the reporters are giving live reports of the in game action. You listen live using Windows Media or Real Audio.
Is anyone else besides Benitez try the “tie with a track suit” look? What a dork.
Why couldn’t the Dortmund-Schalke match be on. Instead i get to watch 2 of the most boring sides in the Prem play a stalemate.
Pretty dull Liverpool – Chelsea match. Liverpool can move the ball but can’t finish (Crouch has been closest, but the crosses are always just behind him), while Chelsea just don’t seem to have any ideas in the final third of the field.
Huzzah for the Citeh! Thanks for helping us Gooners win back the League. 😀
