If you were wondering how you were going to be able to see the U.S. Under-23 national team’s path to qualifying for the Olympics, wonder no more.
Fox Soccer Channel will air all of the U.S. team’s Olympic qualifying matches live, and will broadcast the semifinals, third-place match and final, US Soccer announced on Monday.
Also, ESPN360.com is set to air all of the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying matches, including Groups A and B, and will allow them to be seen up to 48 hours after completion.
The matches were already set to be broadcast in Spanish on ESPN Deportes.
The United States will play Cuba (March 11, 8pm), Panama (March 13, 8pm) and Honduras (March 15, 7pm) in group play. the top two teams in the group will face the top two teams from Group B (Mexico, Canada, Haiti, Guatemala) in semifinal matches on March 20, with the winner of each semifinal awarded a berth in the Olympics.

Wow! My initially lame spring break spent at home just keeps getting better: first the Liverpool match is moved a week back and now I have 3 U23 matches to enjoy!
I’ll certainly catch the Fox broadcast on Sunday…then I’ll be in Panama for the final two games of the first round…I’m hoping I can find a bar de deportes that will be showing the U-23’s…since we play Panama in the 2nd game watching in Panama should be a load of fun 🙂
It makes my day for to reasons! 1)Was worried I would not be able to see the games. 2) there on FSC and not that crummy other network!!!
Where are they playing? China, or are they doing home or away games?
OK Ted but be more specific next time…we aren’t mind readers you know..
Will ESPN360 show ONLY the Deportes feed, or will there be an English-language stream as well? Anybody know?
Very happy that FSC will air the games. For those of you who don’t have a DVR, do yourself a favor and get one. It’s not an under statement to say it’ll change the way you watch TV. It’s a great invention for soccer fans who can’t always catch every game because life often gets in the way…
Yeah I could care less as well as I live in tampa, so I can’t miss these ones live
This is fantastic news! I’m looking forward to it.
Yawn….Soccer on TV. 😉
I’m going to Tampa to watch the group stage matches in person.
Um, I meant it’s not good for me because I won’t get anything done because I will be watching it. It wasn’t a bad statement. It means I am happy to be able to watch it, just like everybody else. Sorry if you misunderstood.
CACuzcatlan: My roommates and I accidentally ordered a generic DVR service when we moved into our house. Turns out it is only $5 extra for us a month. Look into it, you will never watch TV the same.
How much longer will I be able to live before I give in and get a Tivo?
Hey Ted! Who officially gives a hell what you think! This is great news for fans of the USA U-23 team period!
awesome news. thanks Ives.
This is officially not good for anything I need to do over the course of the tournament.
There are hundreds of league games on TV. We only get limited chances to watch the best young American talent. I’m going to record every game so I don’t miss any of them. I can’t wait!
This is awesome news! I can’t wait to see the young talent on display with Jozy and Adu working together again! This should be fun!
Yes that is great news
Best news of the day. I was hoping it would be made available.
Good. I would flip out if I missed this.
