If you own a Zlatan Ibahimovic Inter Milan jersey, or if you have a Samuel Eto'o Barcelona jersey, it's time to hang those in the closet for good.

According to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, his club and Inter have agreed to a blockbuster deal involving a swap between Ibrahimovic and Eto'o. As part of the deal, Inter will also receive €45 million ($63.4 million) and Barcelona winger Alexander Hleb.

Much speculation had surrounded the two strikers during the summer transfer window, with the main rumors linking Ibrahimovic away from Inter and Eto'o to Manchester City, but it looks like they have finally resolved their respective situations.

With the move appearing all but complete, both clubs have agreed to part ways with their top scoring threats. Eto'o scored 30 goals in La Liga for the reigning Champions League winners, while Ibrahimovic netted 25 goals in Serie A last season.

Who do you think got the better end of the deal? Which player is more likely to succeed on his new team? Does Ibrahimovic's addition to Barcelona make them the La Liga favorites again? Ready for some Eto'o-Onyewu clashes?

  1. I think this a very bad deal for Barcelona. First of all Eto’o to me is a much better player than Ibrahimovic. Inter have gotten very good value as they recieve 45 million euros plus 2 players. I beleive Guardiola’s main reason to let him go very quickly is because his contract expires next year and can’t imagine him going on a free transfer and also personal reasons as he’s said that eto’o is a fantastic player but his departure will be good for Barcelona.
