  1. Based on the lucky save by Ochoa and the shot stopped by the NK goalkeeper, I’m gonna vote NK “Most Likely Spoiler.”

  2. The thing is, NK has their behind-the-Iron-Curtain full lineup, and Mex, has Blanco, Ochoa, minus Dos Santos. Still, watching this, NK’s defensive midfield is majorly disruptive. They may $&*( up the Group of Death for someone.

  3. Denver wouldn’t have mattered as Toluca 3000 feet higher and I read some of DCU players comments after their game in Toluca saying that by the 60th min they felt like they would pass out the air was so thin.

  4. You kidding me? NK v. Mex 1-1, both with good pre-Cup lineups, on TV, and no one’s watching? Still 40 mins of good soccer to go, folks.

  5. Until MLS changes its schedule, people have to get use to losing in this cup. Being optimist, only once in a while a team will do well.

  6. This is very insightful commentary. So the best club team in the world is lot better than one of the best teams in MLS?

A skill gap between Rogers and Messi? No way!

  7. Javier Aguirre = Leland Palmer ! (of Twin Peaks of course). I had no idea Mexico was playing North Korea tonight but they are. North Korea has had one chance thus far. Mexico hasnt gotten going yet. J Dos Santos and Blanco both in and as I type this the young one goes close with a low shot.

  8. DCU did, but it was in a friendly game. They also came close to beating Toluca in Mexico last year in the Champions league.

  9. Assuming he’s playing like crap in this game, usually he’s a lot better. He’s frustrating to have your team play against.

  10. So you’re saying CONCAChampions will never get better. That’s what you’re saying, right?

Because MLS won’t go to the “European” calendar (Except for Ukraine, Russia, Norway…) in our lifetimes. That’s the subtext of that question. Just to spell it out.

  11. For Columbus to get a free kick near the Toluca goal a Tolucan player will have to pull out a gun and shoot a Columbus player.

  12. Toluca does not have the killer instinct to take advantage of being up a man. I predict the Crew get a free kick and equalize late in the game to send them through.

  13. Columbus is very a undisciplined team, bad fouls, not playing the whistle etc. Rogers has the touch of a grade schooler.
