The second day of UEFA Champions League group play kicks off Wednesday afternoon, with Jose Mourinho making his return to the competition after guiding Inter Milan to the title last season.
Mourinho's Real Madrid meets Ajax Amsterdam in one of the top matches of the day. Although he isn't on his team's Champions League roster, Oguchi Onyewu has a stake in today's action as well. His AC Milan faces AJ Auxerre in the other Group G battle, and considering the depth of the group, Milan would love to take all three points from its French counterpart.
Another highlight of the day's slate is 2010 runner-up Bayern Munich squaring off with AS Roma.

Vela with a brace today for Arsenal.
Champions League action is so much more fun when Americans are involved like yesterday 😀
CL group stage is pretty much only good for smaller teams being tonked.
CR7 just missed a sitter. I laughed 🙂
ibra!
Dove cazzo stai il Gucci Ogneiwu?!
dude can someone explain the popularity of twitter to me? i know like 2 years back Ashton kutcher did commercials about it or how he thought it was awesome, but why has it exploded? I thought FB was GOD.
The Special One and Real Madrid will win it all
IVES–any word on today’s trade between the Rapids and Dynamo?
Hey Ives, I see you’re tweeting about Tchani’s GA status, how many games does he have to play this season to lose it, and how many has he played so far? How long does his GA contract last for anyway?
I have Dish. I switched because I could get Dish cheaper, but after a year the price wound up about the same. I’ll be out of my contract in Feb and will go back to Direct, which is better for the soccer fan anyway (dish doesn’t have Gol on any package, and ESPN Classic is only on the most expensive one). From what I hear, Direct gives you champions league games with any decent package.
Who will win the CL this year?
My money is on Barca or Arsenal reaching the semi’s. Unsure of anything further than that.
I really wish Liverpool were in the CL this season. But way to go Arsenal. I shall never support ManUre or Chelsea scum, so you go Gunners go!
and as i type it, Chamakh hits one too!!!!
Direct Tv is the way to go huh?
2 for Arsenal!!! Arshavin and Fabregas!!
oh yeah one more thing. GO GUNNERS!
i know how you feel nick but thats why i love saturdays,EPL in the morning and MLS in the afternoon and night.
Definitely JFC. I use that at work, but it’d be nice to come home to a couple recorded games. If that means I need to switch to DirecTV then so be it.
atdhe.net has all the streams just FYI
Why do games involving Spanish clubs always get moved to FSE (which I don’t have), come on people…
So do you have to buy a DirecTV package or how does that work?
