The English Premier League title could take a major step toward being decided this weekend when league leaders Liverpool take on third placed Manchester City. The Citizens, who enter the matchup four points back with two games in hand, knocked off the Reds, 2-1, back in December. However, Liverpool enter this weekend undefeated since the start of the new year.
The Bundesliga boasts its own heavyweight matchup this weekend as league champions Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund. Bayern enter the weekend having defeated Manchester United 3-1 in their Champions League clash, despite losing their first league game since October 2012 last weekend against FC Augsburg. Meanwhile, BVB are fresh off of a Champions League defeat to Real Madrid and currently find themselves sitting second in the league.
The La Liga triumvirate will also be in action with the title race heating up with just seven games to play. Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid both wrapped up spots in the Champions League final four this week and will take on Getafe and Almeria, respectively. Meanwhile, Barcelona will take on Granada after being knocked out of the Champions League by league-leading Atletico.
In other contests around the soccer world, Arsenal will look to move towards ending their nearly nine year trophy drought when they take on Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup semifinals, while PSG will look to bounce back from their Champions League elimination when they take on Lyon.

I’m really starting to hate Fox. Poor UCL coverage , and now they can only manage to show 1 FA cup semi-final and it’s Hull vs Sheffield, not the defending holders Wigan v. Arsenal. I pay enough for my cable package to include FS1 but despite having FX, FXX, FS1, and Fox proper they expect me to pay more for Fox2go and FS2 or Fox deportes. ESPN and NBCSN may not be perfect but their coverage and FREE online content is so much better than what Fox offers. It’s so frustrating to me that they claim to be interested in soccer but then buy up rights and then just throw away the key…..also not crazy about the Gus Johnson Eric Wynalda team….and I still haven’t forgotten that atrocious Michael Strahan futbol vs football UCL final ad either
It’s depressing how little soccer is on TV, even with an extended cable package. I get NBCSN and Fox Sports 1 (but not 2), so no MLS – and only the Norwich-Fulham match this weekend (?!).
I can’t wait for the Bundesliga to finally escape the clutches of Gol TV. Maybe I’ll spring for the sports package to get FS2 and BeIN so I can actually catch the Arsenal-Wigan match. It’s goofy that the Yankees-Sox game is on FS1 instead of Fox, which forces the FA cup semi to FS2 (where a lot of people can’t watch it in HD, or not at all).
Yep…it feels like there must be a crime in there somewhere. The yankees have interfered with your cable agreement. You paid for FS1 which should give you FA Cup, but now you have been deprived and are forced to give up your money for to pay the yankees for something you don’t want and are missing the FS1 FA-Cup action that your plan was supposed to have purchased.
You know, an hour ago I looked into buying some NYFC gear at their online shop, but now F-EM. F@#^@ing yankees stole FA-Cup soccer from people who paid for it, like Niel B.
If you have Fox Deportes you can watch it there and use SAP option to get the English feed
i just find it silly that of all of the 10:07am games, the one that’s televised is Fulham vs Norwich City…… really guys……. Stoke vs Newcastle has USMNT Geoff Cameron…… Everton vs Sunderland has USMNT Tim Howard (and maybe USMNT Jozy Altidore). but instead NBC wants to show the 17th and 18th place teams…. wow……
Yea… that’s weak… and no MLS MOTW also.. strike two..
And Arsenal FA cup on FS 2….
Really, this is the most important game of the day for the Premier League. If Norwich beats Fulham, then the bottom three are probably set. There aren’t any major games for the title race today, but this game is HUGE for the relegation fight.
And I say that as an Evertonian, and a Jozy fan. I can’t wait to stream that game today.
Heskeydore aint playin and Timmy will likely be a spectator in an Everton blowout. Stoke-Newc is meaningless. Ful-Nor is most definitely the game of the day
No MLS game on NBC/NBCSN??
ya what happened to the NBC game of the week?
Pretty disappointed about this as well.
That should have been a deal-breaker, MLS. One game per week is not too much to ask from NBC/comcast. CNBC is nothing but infomercials all day saturday/sunday.
Am I missing something or are there no MLS games on NBCSN?
What channel/day/time can I watch the Sunderland U-21 game? I wanna watch the star US striker!
Nasl game of the week on espn3 730 sat Indy vs Carolina
Really? Nice
Root for Liverpool or City?
Shoot me.
Is the Arsenal/ Wigan FA cup semi really not on Fox Sports 1?
Brighthouse–Indianapolis has the game on Fox Sports 2. Baseball is on 1.
why are the PL games 7 mins after?
Is this to honor the Hillsborough disaster?
Yes – the match on 4/15/89 was halted at 15:06 local time
That’s cool.
In a somewhat similar vein, I wonder why Direct Kick’s broadcasting the DCU-NYRB match at 7:30. I’m planning on being at RFK for the 7:00 kickoff.
